4 things to consider when choosing your toothpaste

Select a toothpaste that contains fluoride so it helps strengthen and protect against caries. Fluoride at the tooth surface and in saliva is available, and together with calcium and phosphate, helps mineralize areas demineralized during acid attacks, helping to strengthen teeth.

Look for a toothpaste that helps repair enamel and surface. A good toothpaste should provide additional calcium to help further strengthen teeth and harden enamel.

Safe stain removal and whitening. Surface stains typically result drinking coffee, tea, red wine, smoking or some foods. These stains can be gently removed on a daily basis.

Superior cleaning especially in hard-to-reach places. Most dentists recommend using toothpaste with baking soda. Baking soda rapidly dissolves and reaches in between teeth and along the gum line. Baking soda has been shown to remove more plaque than non-baking soda toothpaste.
